Sisterhood

From seven young educators, Sigma Gamma Rho has become an international service organization comprised of women from many professions. Sigma Gamma Rho offers its members opportunities to develop their unique talents through leadership training and involvement in sorority activities. Sorority activities provide an atmosphere where friendships and professional contacts are developed which often lead to bonds that last a lifetime.

Scholarship

Education opens doors, has within it the power to solve problems, and can be found new ways to serve a global community.  With education being one of Sigma Gamma Rho’s cornerstones, we actively promote educational attainment across the spectrum from early education to post-graduate studies. Women seeking membership in the sorority at the alumnae level must have completed at minimum a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. We are proud of a membership that includes women who have achieved some of the highest levels of education and who remain open to new educational experiences in both traditional and non-traditional forms.
