Homeless Working Families With Children Need You!
-
Carying Place
In Wake County, 6,500 children face homelessness each year. You can help provide life skills, financial literacy, and 16 weeks of transitional housing for hard-working families in our community, followed by 12+ months of workforce development and home ownership preparation.
Did you know that The Carying Place has a total of 48 twin beds in their 13 transitional homes? When families graduate from their program, they are encouraged to take the bedding with them to their new home. With each home turning over several times a year, The Carying Place needs 1872 twin comforters and lots of NEW pillows each year. If you have TWIN comforters, sheets, mattress protectors or pillowcases to donate it would be greatly appreciated!
